According to Wikipedia, a zine is
A zine (/ziːn/ ZEEN; short for magazine or fanzine) is most commonly a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier. Usually zines are the product of a single person, or of a very small group. In the Philippines, zines are not a new thing. They have been around for some time now, made available in art fairs, pop-up shops, cafes, comic cons, music festivals, and many other related events.
This year, one of the biggest zine events will be happening in Muntinlupa. Dubbed as Munzinelupa, you can read a wide variety of zines while you chill out to music performances, watch indie films, or even join a workshop.
