The contract signing for adaptation was held last February 6, 2018. Entitled "Sorrowful, Sorrowful, Mysteries", the film will be based on the creator's 7th book of the same title. The book was also the inspiration for the stage play performed last April 2017 by UP Los Banos' theater group, Tabsing Kolektib.

Epik Studios has been bringing komiks into the big (and small) screen through TV and film adaptations in the past few years. In 2017, they premiered the TV adaptation for the graphic novel "Tabi Po" by Mervin Malonzo. They are currently working in the film adaptation of the komiks "Pedro Penduko: The Legend Begins" which was released by the same studio in 2016.
