Beyond Komiks: Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan Manga in Filipino

Manga covers courtesy of Viva-Psicom
I heard all the rumors. Then I saw them in the shelves of bookstores. I was even invited to go to the book launch (and actually went there).

And on that day, I received a friendly reminder that Filipino-translated literary works are slowly invading our local bookstores.

I present to you: Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail... Philippine Edition.

After the Kon: Things You Might Have Missed at the ToyconPH 2015 (Warning: Image Heavy)

Childhood nostalgia. Fan geekery. And a whole lot of fun! This is how I can describe this year's ToyconPH 2015! This was the first time I'm attending the ToyCon despite having heard of it before as I was more of an anime fan than a geek back then and I have very little interest (and very limited budget) in buying toys. I'm really glad that I got invited this year to be a part of the Biggest Toy Convention in South East Asia.

ToyConPH 2015 was held at the SM Megatrade Halls in the 5th Floor of SM Megamall (Mandaluyong City) last June 19-21, 2015. The event was so big that aside from occupying Megatrade Halls 1, 2, and 3, ToyCon also added the Meeting Halls A and B as their event venue.

Beyond Komiks: Toycon 2015

Toy collectors and comic fans can hardly contain their excitement for the upcoming Toycon 2015 to be held at the Megatrade Halls 1-3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City on June 19-21, 2015.

During the grand launch event last May 30 at the Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila, Pasay City, event organizers gave the audience a sneak peek on what's in store for this year's biggest Toys and Collectibles event. Some of the highlights mentioned were:

Beyond Komiks: Of music and poetry

Where do we go now, sweet child?
Today I officially relaunch OMG!!! Komiks! with its new CAT-egory: Beyond Komiks! YAY!!!

Beyond Komiks will be all about the other stuff that the girl with the cat ears, Nekomimi, does outside the world of komiks. Indie music, food, and other randomness by default.

The year of 2014 and the early parts of 2015 have been quite a storm for me. But now that the storm is over, things are finally starting to settle down, and I now have the time to focus on the more important stuff in my life.

Anyways enough of the drama! Let's get this post started!

Blog is Under Construction!

We're currently having a bit of a problem with updating the template/design for OMG!!! Komiks! right now. There are several kinks in the code I'm having a hard time trying to figure out. Good thing I was able to back up my original template and I can reinstall it tomorrow. :)

This is part of the site revamp for OMG!!! Komiks!

By the second half of 2015, OMG!!! Komiks! will not only be featuring coverage for Komikon events and indie comic reviews. What's the new feature? Just stay tuned to find out!

Again we apologize for this minor inconvenience and we will be back to normal operations before the end of this week.

Nekomimi over and out!

Spread the word!
